:Emerging from the foothills of the Teutoburg Forest, our company has evolved into an internationally operating company. Today, we operate from a total of five locations across Europe and North America, ensuring quick customer response times through close proximity.

When company founder Swibertus Beyer began yarn production in 1850, nobody could have predicted that it would eventually evolve into a globally successful company. However, with the introduction of needle punched technology in 1969, the road was paved for the group as it stands today.

Here are the most important milestones of our company history so far:

1850	Production of yarns
1969	Introduction of needle-punched nonwoven technology (Polyvlies.)
1971	Extension to fully-integrated surface generation, finishing and processing of technical textiles and home textiles
1995	Process development and implementation of thermally bonded nonwovens (Polytherm.)
1996	Specialization in the production of natural fiber nonwovens (Naropur, Narodur, Naroplast)
2004	Acquisition of a glass-fiber processing specialist in Saxony and initiation of the production of own glass fiber nonwovens (Vitratex)
2008	Establishment of a plant in Slovakia for the production and finishing of thermally bonded nonwovens (Polytherm^®)
2010	Expansion of production capacity for the production of fine fiber nonwovens (Polyvlies^®)
2012	Establishment of a site in France through the acquisition of a facility for the production and finishing of lightweight nonwovens and their specialties (z.B. SkillCoat™)
2013	Expansion of the machinery for finishing and processing
2015	Launch of the new production site in the USA
2016– 2017	a) Expansion of the site in the USA b) Expansion of production and logistics center at Hörstel-Bevergern facility
2018	Expansion of finishing possibilities with the acquisition of a double belt press
2019	Addiition of a new storage and production facilities at Hörstel-Bevergern site
2020	Ramp up of a new nonwoven line in Hörstel-Bevergern.
2022	Addition of new production and storage facilities as well as investment in a new nonwoven line in Bevergern
